Steak Taco (Mexican)

Ingredients:

For the Beef:

  • 300 g sirloin beef
  • 4 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 0.5 teaspoon chili sauce (e.g., Jalapeño Sauce)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

For the Salsa:

  • 250 g cherry tomatoes
  • 1 medium red onion
  • 1 jalapeño pepper
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 bunch fresh coriander
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 0.5 teaspoon chili sauce (e.g., Jalapeño Sauce)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste

For Serving:

  • 4 tortilla wraps
  • 1 avocado
  • 50 g sheep cheese
  • Pickled onions and radish
  • Fresh coriander
  • Lime wedges

Preparation:

Making the Salsa:

Finely chop the tomatoes, red onion, jalapeño pepper, garlic, and coriander, or roughly blend them in a food processor.

Add the lime juice and chili sauce, then season with salt and pepper to taste.

Refrigerate the salsa until serving.

Marinating the Beef:

In a bowl, mix the olive oil, honey, and chili sauce.

Season the beef with salt and pepper, then coat it well with the marinade.

Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or longer if time allows.

Cooking the Beef:

In a hot pan or on a grill, cook the marinated beef for 6-7 minutes per side until it reaches the desired doneness.

Place the cooked meat on a plate, loosely cover it with aluminum foil, and let it rest for 10 minutes.

After resting, slice it into thin strips.

Preparing the Tortillas:

Warm the tortilla wraps in a dry pan or oven until they become flexible.

Assembling the Tacos:

Place a few slices of grilled beef in the center of each warm tortilla.

Spoon a tablespoon of salsa on top.

Add sliced avocado, pickled onions, and radish.

Sprinkle with crumbled sheep cheese and fresh coriander.

Serve with lime wedges and additional chili sauce, if desired.
